Stephanie woke up hours later when they had reached their destination. She got off the plane and decided that before dealing with anything she should first looked for a place where she could spruce herself up a bit. She followed a sign leading to the closest restroom. She stood before a glass to comb her hair, that’s when she saw an Asian girl standing before her and staring right at her. “Oh sorry”, she said, “I thought this was a glass.” Strangely enough, the Asian girl before her repeated her movement in perfect simultaneity. This was definitely disturbing! Stephanie slowly raised her hand and so did the girl in front of her. She moved her head up and down, side to side, and again so did the girl! After a moment, Stephanie had no choice but to face the truth: the woman in front of her, was her own reflection in the mirror! “This is impossible!” she said.

Stéphanie se réveilla des heures plus tard lorsqu’ils eurent atteint leur destination. Elle sortit de l’avion et décida qu’avant de s’occuper de quoi que ce soit, elle devrait d’abord trouver un endroit où elle pourrait se refaire une beauté. Elle suivit un signe conduisant vers les salles de bain les plus proches. Elle se plaça devant un miroir pour se peigner, c’est là qu’elle vit une fille asiatique qui se tenait droit devant elle et la fixait du regard. « Oh, pardon! », dit-elle, « Je croyais que c’était un miroir. » Étrangement, la fille asiatique devant elle reproduisit ses mouvements en parfaite synchronie. Ça, c’était définitivement troublant! Stéphanie leva doucement sa main, la fille en face d’elle fit de même. Elle bougea la tête de haut en bas, de gauche à droite et encore une fois la fille fit de même! Après un moment, Stéphanie n’eut d’autre choix que d’affronter la vérité : la femme devant elle, c’était son propre reflet dans la glace! « C’est impossible! », s’exclama-t-elle.

  再一次聽到機長的廣播時已經是史蒂芬妮醒來幾個小時後，班機已經到了目的地。下了飛機，史蒂芬妮決定先找個地方整理自己再來好好思考要如何是好。隨著標示牌找到了更衣間，他隨即換了衣服。當他整裝完正準備在鏡子前梳頭時，他看到一個亞洲女孩正盯著她看。

      「喔!抱歉，我以為這是一面鏡子。」

        奇怪的是，史蒂芬妮面前的女人竟然不約而同地說出和他一樣的話。這令史蒂芬妮感到十分不安。史蒂芬妮緩緩舉起他的手，上下左右的揮，而面前的亞州女孩也做出相同回應。一會兒後，史蒂芬妮意識到，鏡中的女人並非模仿他，而是他自己的樣子。

        史蒂芬妮說: 「這怎麼可能!」
